Boulder Colorado - Area Information

Boulder is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just 35 miles northwest of Denver. Home of the University of Colorado's main campus and the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder sits 5,430 feet above sea level and is surrounded by a greenbelt of city trails and open spaces. Boulder is known for its natural beauty, outdoor recreation, natural product retailers and restaurants, outstanding alternative transportation options, diverse businesses, and technological and academic resources.

Boulder, Colorado is nestled against the magnificent Rocky Mountains, and is a wonderful place to live, work and play. Boulder offers a very diverse real estate housing stock as well as many lifestyle choices. The nearby mountains offer the opportunity to live either close to town or one hour outside of Boulder and still be inside Boulder County.

Boulder's public schools have a reputation for academic excellence and are consistently rated as one of the best school districts in the state of Colorado. The high schools provide college track classes and have excellent science and language departments. The University of Colorado is located near the center of town. Its verdant, sprawling campus provides many educational as well as cultural opportunities for all interested residents of Boulder.

University Hill is located across from campus, and is filled with thrift stores, music stores, casual eateries and the historic Fox Theatre.

Nearby is the Pearl Street pedestrian mall, which provides a colorful community gathering point. In addition to the plethora of shopping and dining opportunities one can often see entertaining street performers. The surrounding neighborhoods are filled with beautiful antique homes that although near Boulder's hustle and bustle, maintain a quiet sense of dignity.

The city of Boulder has much to explore as far as real estate, offering a variety of enticing neighborhoods and settings that you may explore with me. The plains offer a sort of 4-H lifestyle with horse ranches, farms and acreage. There are many communities surrounding Boulder that are within Boulder County and have lots of new residential growth. These include Lafayette, Louisville, Longmon, and Superior. These communities accepted a lot of the growth that spilled out of Boulder with assistance from Boulder's little or no growth policies. They offer a lot of house for the money.
